Customer Inquiry Process

A potential client contacts us with a new project inquiry. The sales and management team then conducts a quick evaluation to determine if the project aligns with our capabilities and expertise. If the project is a good fit, we proceed to a detailed evaluation and quotation process. If the project is not suitable for our services, we respectfully decline and provide feedback to the potential client.

Project Evaluation and Quotation

Upon receiving a qualified project inquiry, our R&D team conducts a thorough evaluation to assess feasibility and scope. We collaborate closely with potential clients to gather detailed specifications and generate a comprehensive project plan. This includes developing a digested requirement document, outlining the proposed system architecture, estimating mechanical BOM components and tooling requirements, and conducting a preliminary cost analysis. Based on these findings, we provide an indicative timeline and unit price estimate for the development process.

Specifications Ready, Prototype Development and Validation

Once the project is greenlit, our team assembles a lab prototype using evaluation kits (EVKs), custom circuits, and carefully selected electronic components. Our in-house capabilities in mechanical design and 3D printing allow us to rapidly produce custom parts, streamlining the prototyping process. This hands-on approach allows us to test the viability of your design concepts and identify potential issues early on. Board Layout and R&D Sample Production

Building upon the successful prototyping phase, we transition to the crucial step of board layout and R&D sample production. Our team meticulously creates a 1:1 scale layout and 3D model of your board, incorporating all final BOM parts for accurate representation.

This comprehensive design ensures seamless integration of components and facilitates efficient production. We assemble the PCB by hand and conduct thorough testing to validate its functionality. The R&D board sample, featuring a fully integrated design, is then provided to you for further evaluation and testing. This step marks a significant milestone towards mass production, allowing you to assess the product’s performance and make necessary adjustments before proceeding to the next stage.

Pilot Run and ESB: Finalizing Your Product

Once the electronic design is finalized and approved, we proceed to the pilot run and Engineering Sample Build (ESB) stage. Arriving here includes molding of all mechanical parts, final production of all components, insulating materials, test jigs for ICT & FCT and all production jigs, and final raw materials, BOM and PCBA.

The ESB units are fully assembled, including labels, markings, and packaging, representing the final product. We use this stage to fine-tune manufacturing processes, establish standard times for each step, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure product quality and compliance. Customer approval of ESB samples is needed to start the mass production.

The ESB samples are then submitted to the 3rd party test labs to validate their adherence to industry standards and to achieve certification.
